  9. Insert Index & Utilities CD into CD ROM drive.  Select the run command from the
  10. Start or File menu of the Program Manager.  In the run dialog box, enter your
  11. CD drive letter and the setup command, i.e. e:\setup.  Then choose OK

  15. About the  Corel Photo Browser Database
  16. =======================================

  18. The visual database was created to help you quickly and conveniently find the
  19. images you need. Each image included in the Corel Stock Photo Library is entered
  20. into the database and assigned a thumbnail image, file name, title, volume,
  21. caption and several unique keywords. These search terms let you perform
  22. sophisticated searches using the Find command.

  24. 1. Using Find to search the image database
  25. ---------------------------------------

  27. Choosing Find opens the Search dialog box that lets you search for specific
  28. images with a common theme. Search by keyword, caption, volume, title or
  29. file name. Criteria strings are created using different combinations of
  30. search criteria from the four drop-down lists. Each drop-down list serves to
  31. narrow the search criteria. To create a simple criteria string to search for
  32. images containing a common keyword:

  34.     1. Choose Keyword from the search term drop-down list
  35.            (i.e., keyword, caption, etc.).
  36.     2. Type a keyword in the text box or choose an existing
  37.            keyword from the drop-down box. 
  38.     3. Click Add to add the keyword to the list of search items.
  39.     4. Click OK.

  41. To create more complex criteria strings, continue to add variations on search
  42. terms to narrow the search criteria.

  46.     Choose AND from the first drop-down list to search for all images
  47.         that match both criteria strings.
  48.     Choose OR from the first drop-down list to search for all images
  49.         that match either the first or second criteria strings.

  51. Experiment with the search tool to maximize the efficiency of your searches.
  52. Using a combination of sophisticated criteria strings, you can focus your
  53. searches and find specific images.

  63. 1. Mouse Problems
  64. -----------------
  65. If you are having trouble with your mouse cursor operating erratically while
  66. using the Corel Photo Browser Database, please verify that you have the latest
  67. versions of your mouse drivers installed on your system.
  68. If you continue to have problems with your mouse cursor, and you are running
  69. the Microsoft Intellipoint mouse software, please disable the Microsoft
  70. Intellipoint components while using the Corel Photo Browser Database. For
  71. further details on temporarily disabling the Microsoft Intellipoint mouse
  72. software, please consult your mouse documentation.

  74. 2. Video Display Problems
  75. -------------------------
  76. The Large Fonts settings in some video drivers are not supported and can
  77. cause various display problems to occur. If you are experiencing display
  78. problems such as text overruning boundaries of dialog boxes, or dialog
  79. boxes having white areas around them, then please disable the Large
  80. Fonts setting in your video driver and restart the application. For
  81. further information on disabling large fonts, see the documentation
  82. provided by your video card manufacturer.
